I was offered a place at Kings on Thursday on the phone.

I was having problems with my UCAS application, as my school have to verify my references etc.

I was initially planning on taking a gap year, but changed my mind, so I didn't get my references sorted out etc.

The admissions team agreed to extend my offer until Monday.

However, my school are now closed until the 1st of September - yet I need them
to verify my UCAS application before I can access Track and accept the offer made by Kings.

Can you suggest any possible course of action I should take next ? And does the fact I cannot access track until the 1st of September mean I cannot take up a place at Kings ?

Hey I've moved this to Applications and UCAS for you as someone should be able to give you advice here.

Well it all depends on what Kings want. If Kings will not wait till 1st September then of course it will be too late at that stage.

Also you haven't made it fully clear. You say the school has to verify your references. If you're applying through school, then they would actually need to do the references on the UCAS application and you wouldn't put it yourself. This might not be a quick process. If they've already put the references on, then they just need to press the send button.
Have you asked Kings if they will accept you without references? As if you don't want to depend on the school you can apply independently, in which you don't need to but have the choice to put a reference.

Considering they've already said that they have offered you a place, on what basis was that offer made?
On the basis that you satisfied the grades, I presume, and not any references or Personal Statement.
I went through clearing last year at a different university. After I got an offer on the phone, I just went through as a private candidate without any references.
Just make Kings aware of the issue, they might offer a solution and certainly give better advice than us.

On top of that, you haven't stated if you cannot get in contact with the school as they are closed or has someone at the school declined the possibility of the verification of your references until 1st September.

Good luck and please quote if you reply.
