Hi Everyone, I'm just looking for some advice as I broke my writing arm the night before my first AS level exam and was forced to miss half of them. I was able to do two exams but required a scribe (who could not spell) and breaks for pain relief so naturally did not do well in these. If I were to go into year 13 I would be doing 18 exams next summer. Apart from redoing year 12, I was wondering if I had any other options which I am still able to apply for? Sorry for waffling Any advice at all will be greatly appreciated Thankyou

I'm afraid there is not much you can do now. You shouldn't have been penalised for the scribe's spelling but it does take a different mindset to dictate things and some people find that hard to adapt to. (I normally find a word processor and extra time work better for people with broken writing hands/arms, or a mixture of scribe and transcript for Maths.)

Your school should be able to put something in your UCAS reference about your depressed grades, but it's too late to change the grades themselves.
