    I really need serious advice...

Basically, I have started MEng Computer Engineering course at University of Portsmouth in Sept. 2012.

Shortly I realised this is not the course I want to do, as I never had anything to do with electronics, as I mostly specialize in IT (programming, networking etc.) I didn't do well in 3 subjects and I've had a repeat year.

To be honest I have partly chosen this course only because of great future salaries and employment.

Due to my own stupidility, I did not changed the course in time while doing a Repeat year (in 2013) and I dismotivated completely from doing my work and exams. Then at the end of this academic year I have been excluded from the University for failing the repeat year and right now I feel really lost.

I have wasted 2 years of my life doing a course I shouldn't be doing (I can only blame myself), but I really want to study a course which I know I am good at and which I enjoy, which is Software Engineering.

Is there still any chance for me to apply for this year (2014) to nearby institution? I know it's very silly, but I really need your guidance on this..

    Desperately seeking your help..
    Thanks

To start with, never choose a career based solely on it's salary! For your main point, I don't think you can apply unless you've done a UCAS application

Unfortunately I haven't done an UCAS application, the only hope I had is that Admissions team from Portsmouth advised me to contact alternative institutions to secure myself a place through clearing, but it seems like I am in a deep s**t
