Looking at taking Philosophy at A-Level and I would like to hear how people find it and if they did well etc.

I can only speak for AQA philosophy - I did AS last year and absolutely loved it, I can't comment on the new syllabus which is starting this year though, apparently it's very boring compared to the old one. Also since it will be the first year it's being taught so resources for revision will be harder to come by.

Another thing I would say, and this applies to all courses is that the marking can be frustrating as it seems to be highly subjective- I was getting A's though out the year and when it came down to the exam wound up with a D.. oops!

I did Religious Studies however 1 of the 2 units was philosophy and it was very interesting if that helps. I got an A in the exam. It's really good and would recommend.

Thank you! I read up on it and liked the examples of what you do in the course because it doesn't seem as factual as most other subjects, it seems like more questioning societies beliefs?

Yeah, it's opinion based. Another pro is that class sizes tend to be small.
