Hi, I was wondering does an A level have to be completed in two years? For example would I be able to do an AS, take a year out and then resume the subject for A2 or would I need to retake the AS first?

I've currently done 4 AS levels and want to do all to A2 but my school will only let me do 3 so I want to finish the 4th one in evening classes the year after my A-levels. I don't need my 4th AS but it is a language and just want to have something to show for my hard work (because I'm studying it further as a hobby but would also like to tell people I have it at A-level and for employment reasons etc)

    Thanks

No they can be done over three, but I would recommend talking to your teachers about your plans as it'll be hard for you to find the time to do an a2 whilst at university. Also you will have go pay for it as a private candidate.

Thanks for your reply! That's true, I'm going to make an appointment with a careers teacher to discuss it with them Is there a point where they need to be took by or can you sit A2's whenever?

Usually they can be taken up until the syllabus is changed and no problem.
