I currently study History, Politics and Business Studies, and my fourth AS that I am dropping is English Language. Overall, I got AAAB.

In History, I got 99.5% UMS overall (199/200), in Politics I achieved 100% UMS overall (200/200) and in Business I achieved 93.6% overall (281/300). This means my predictions should be A*A*A*. I also have an EPQ that is yet to be certified.

The problem, however is that only one of these subjects is traditional. On Sheffield's website, they provide very clearly the subjects they prefer, and those acceptable only in combination. 2 out of my three are on the preferred list, so it should be fine to apply to the likes of Sheffield. Yet, I am hoping to receive an offer from Durham.

I am aware that because of my subject profile, I probably have a lessened statistical chance of receiving an offer, yet obviously my UMS is very high- including in History, the subject I'm applying for. So basically, is there any point in trying?
