Always struggle to find a decent one! Thanks x

The main jackets which keep you try are the technical waterproof ones like Berghaus, North Face etc. and you can also get insulated ones.
If you want something which is more 'trendy', I love my navy wool peacoat. It is similar to this but nicer: http://www.jackwillsoutlet.com/en-gb/product/lynford-coat-10000187602 they have it in grey too, quite a decent price.
This is mine - the sleeves are more fitted

Thank you! I have been looking at the parkas that are like that. Think I will go for a parka that is waterproof :-) x

Alrighty, have you considered buying two jackets? A waterproof one for rainy days and a slightly thicker jacket for the colder days? A few jackets that I've seen in the shops that seem to be quite good quality yet stylish are:

Thank you for them, I really like the new look one will go into the shop and try it on. I did think of buying two coats but I always get caught out by the rain so better to have just the one lol. Especially on school runs. xx
I really like this coat and I think that it could be warm, because it contains 62% of wool

It certainly is! If you open it up inside the top half has fur lining (not real fur of course) and the rest is quilted. I also like that it's longer than most parkas - more of you covered when it rains.

It's also water repellent so you won't get soaked through and it will dry more easily than wool/cotton coats.
