Don't text him if he said he would text you!
Let him make the move if he was the one who suggested it.

Eh?

OP: I'd suggest not texting him. If he still hasn't texted back by tomorrow, you can text him then... but not texting by 5 means nothing, and if you text now you may end up appearing desperate, which could scare him off.

Yeah but we were meant to be meeting up tonight & if we are going to then I need to know soon!

Sure you gave him the right number? Didnt enter wrong by accident, maybe?

He could be frantically texting the wrong number? :p:

Why do you? If you've arranged to meet up with him tonight, then presumably you have nothing else planned. So if he wants to take you out at 8 it would be perfectly acceptable for him to call you at 7:30. It's not as if, if he doesn't take you out by 6, you suddenly desperately have something else to do. He might even have to ring even later to cancel or something - some emergency might have come up.

Uh oh, looks like someone has forgotten the all-important "time to get ready" factor. Half an hour is no way enough notice :p:

I cringed when I saw your name in my usercp. I was right to do so. I forgot girls took 20 times as long as boys to get ready. :p: Still, shouldn't she be getting ready now, if she knows she's going out, even if she doesn't know when?

text him just to say hi and dont really mention tonight, see what he says and hopefully he should remmeber about tonight and then txt back!

their is no harm in trying, and if he did say to you go out tonight then he should really have the courtecy to stick with the plans.

Why should she be getting ready now? The guy should have text her and told her what time to meet, therefore giving her a time frame to stick to.

If they aren't meeting it would be pointless getting ready

I would suggest texting him now and if he don't get back to you then maybe he has lost interest.

Oi :p:

Why should she be getting ready? It hasn't actually been arranged yet, all that happened was he asked if she was free and he said he'd call. There's nothing more annoying then spending ages getting ready, then discovering that actually nothing's happening  :p:

Update:

Firstly I needed to know if I was going out cos my mum wanted to know if I wanted dinner & I needed to ask my dad to borrow his car, I'm actually one of those girls that doesn't take long to get ready!

I text him cos I decided what have I got to lose, if he doesn't reply I'm not going to see him again. Turned out Darryl was right! I had given him the wrong number & he had been trying to text me! So it was all due to my own stupidity & I'm glad I didn't wait!

good on ya! I dont get the whole 2 day rule it sucks imo cos like what happened to you how do you know that they may be trying to contact but can't

Well, I assumed from the first post that they actually were definitely going out, but just hadn't arranged a time... in which case, why should she be stubbornly refusing to get ready? :p:

I had kind of eliminated that possibility, assuming you'd given him the right number... Oh well. :p:

Yes I was dumb I know! But I'm glad I didn't wait 2 days, he'd been trying to ring & text me & we had a great time!

Aww, yey! Are you going to see him again?

Reply 19

I don't know if I'll see him again, I had a really good time & he said he would call but he hasn't so far... will just have to wait and see
