Friends Sturcture

I had a best friend but he lied and i decided not to see him because of this.

Now i have no friends, people at work who i am friends with (girls) dont seem to want to invite me out even if i say i dont do anything and stay at home.

Is this because they are girls and going out with a boy is weird unless its a boyfriend GF kind of thing.

I mean there is one person who i am close with as a friend i think we are close as we keep touching eachother like patting on head playing with eachother. Do you think she doesnt go out say like the cinema with me because she has a BF who is 180 miles away and comes up once a week.

Maybe she doesnt want people seeing her with another guy because it might make her bf think things.

I would never split anyone up, I just want to be a good friend with her.

I'm not into going out with guys you see because i like the cinema kind of thing.

Maybe i just need a friend :smile:

Ye if a group of girls are going out together it would be quite odd, i think, if a guy was clung to them. Also most guys like the cinema, but you can't go there everyday really. Just mix yourself in with others.

You need to make the effort and invite people out to things, not just wait to be asked to go out yourself.

Maybe instead of making yourself into a charity case you need to invite people out yourself. They equally wouldn't want their boyfriends thinking they're interested in you, so the responsibility is yours.

Also, what exactly did your best friend lie about?

I need a GF at the end of the day and the girl i met at work is amazingly friendly but she has a bf so i'll just stay in touch on msn messenger when she leaves for uni
