Endcliffe Avenue

Hey Ive just been allocated accomodation in a house on Endcliffe Avenue and just hoping if anyone can answer my questions about this accomodation?

How many people share a house?
Are the houses single sex?
How many bathrooms is there?
How far is it from the university?
Is there any access to the internet from the bedroom?
Are there decent cooking/cleaning facilities?
Is it all freshers in this accomodation?
Anybody got any pictures?
Any help at all is much appreciated! Thank You!

its a four bed flat above the rest of the main house..access round the back. nice flat actually-you get bathroom and a nice lil kitchen/lounge area!

the people in it tend to mingle with people in number 27..they have a nice big lounge, perfect for parties (vodka jelly, ring of fire and ann summers are three which stick out!) hehe! nice garden too!

I'll be living in number 19. The houses look great with very spacious bedrooms & plenty of bathrooms. I asked to be changed from Endcliffe Vale flats to a shared house as there's more room, a garden and it'll be less noisy. Plus another good thing is that we won't be too close to the building work that is going on.

building work?

Yeah there is huge amounts of building work going on all over the Endcliffe site. Lots of the things the university have sent to you mention this building work. It is on the website too. Residences Strategy. I can't remember the exact details but I believe building work starts at 7.30am, noisy work (like tile cutting, drilling...etc.) cannot start until 8.30am and work will probably stop for the night once it gets dark.

Also for the thread starter if you log on to your Residence Contract and then click the Room Information Leaflet, this will have all the details of your house, floor plan and you can see where your room is.

ah i read a bit about it, but i didn't realise it was like that!

I'm not on Endcliffe avenue, im on Endcliffe crescent. I haven't been to Sheffield yet but i noticed from one of the maps that the Endcliffe area seems really far away from the Endineering department (where I'll be studying). Also, if anyone has any info on the crescent flats, it'd be really appreciated.

Been to have a look at Endcliffe Avenue tonight and it really is a cosy little street

BUT!

The building work is practically on our back yard and is quite a large project. Was fairly noisy as they were in process of demolishing old buildings but by the time we move in, that should of been finished and the building will have started, which won't be as bad!!
