Yeah you can buy them on campus. They look ridiculously stupid.

in the guild, there's a shop which does them and lots of other uni clothing/merchandise. i was wearing my birmingham cufflinks today - they look ridiculously cool.

in the shop, they just tend to sell general uni hoodies. most departments will have personalised ones, which say the subject name on the back, but you have to apply for it through the department or their society.

They're pricey, though, just as a heads up.
And the polo shirts shrink if you tumble them, so get a size bigger than you need!

I have a hoodie and a polo shirt, and they don't look stupid. They only look stupid if you go to a "bad" university. You should be proud to attend one of the 100 best universities in the world!!

i got the hoody - think it was about £25 but it is fantastic. worth every penny. it's so warm!! has definately helped me acclimatize to being "up north"!

along wit hoodies you can buy pens, scarfs, hats, t-shirts, photoframes, mugs (i think), erasers...there is a vast amount of stuff with the logo on! i just have a t-shirt and hoody tho...
oooh i want one!

yer i got the brown one! was 25 quid from the guild! the sports centre do alot of t shirsts as well
You can also get some from the Munrow centre shop. Thats where they have the department ones, however they dont automatically stock every dep. you have to get a group of you together to get an order done. I have a few of their hoodies and live in them, they're great. You can get good deals on the "old" stock too. I got a couple for £15 back in may time, because they were winter stock. So that's cool. You can get them personalised too, which is nice.

ooh, cool, i want one. Do the personalised ones cost more then?

I think the Birmingham uni hoodies look great, a couple of my friends at uni have some and they literally live in them lol! I've been told they're well worth the money cos they're so warm
Ye, its not expensive though. To have it embroidered, its something like £6 for a large line of text, £4 for medium and £2 for small. But you additional lines only cost 50p each.
and they really wear well. I mean, Ive had one for a year, and have worn it LOADS AND LOADS its all i wore for about two months straight and still wear it loads now. And its not changed at all really. Small amount of bobbling, but thats to be expected with anything that gets worn at least twice a week and you have to tumble dry because theres nowhere for a clothes line.

Do they sell Fleeces? Not much of a hoodie guy, but love Fleeces! If so, does anyone know how much they are? Thanks

Ooh I wanna get a uni hoodie! what do they look like?
Reply 15
why would anyone want one of these?
because they are warm...very warm...

If you want something warm then get a coat!

I still find it strange that people feel the need to advertise the fact that they attend a University.

Students who trek through town wearing a 'Uni Hoodie' look like idiots.

Its not a bad thing that people are proud of their uni, its the same as people walking in an england shirt...
I agree with reevo! We had hoodies at my skool and we all used to wear them cos we were proud of the fact that we went to that skool, the same way if u r part of a football team u wear the t shirt!
