My friend was saying how he doesn't want to put his fsmq (free standing maths qualification) on her CV and applications if she doesn't get a good grade. It isn't a GCSE, it's an equivalent.

Yep, you don't need to disclose all your qualifications on your CV. If the FSMQ isn't relevant, no reason to declare it. That said, declaring it isn't likely to make a difference in her app.
