It’s the FRESHERS FLING! This is Aberdeen University Students’ Association’s Flagship Event. It’s been years since we tried something this big so jump on board our Scottish Dance Monster and prepare to be consumed by rhythm, skill and fun!

Indulge yourself in the lush, grand surroundings of the Beach Ballroom, engage in civilised conversation during the champagne reception and nibble nonchalantly on the finest canapés. Once in the Ballroom dance to your heart’s content to a mixture of big-band anthems and the best Pop classics before giving your best moves to Iron Broo, the headline band in the Ceilidh tent at this year’s T In The Park, and the purveyors of a great mix of ceilidh and disco classics!

After the willow has been stripped and the Gordon’s are well and truly outed, relax and regenerate with a serving of piping hot Aberdeen Stovies before once again pampering the springed floor with your feet. This is an event that should not be missed, and with limited tickets available you should act fast! They will be available to purchase from the Students’ Association reception in the Hub from Monday at 9am and if we can convince our volunteers to take the tickets on tour we’ll be selling them at Halls of Residence during dinner times too!

I wouldn't mind going but will wait and see if there are any girls worth asking (who won't expect me to pay their ticket! lol).

Priory is better and free. Liquid is so lame. Though for freshers week there will be loads of freshers there.

As for books...

I e-mailed them, and it seems that we either buy them from the departments up there or get them in the second-hand bookshop at the HUB (it has every book you need, apparently).
