Probably.
Well... you generally don't sleep when you have things on your mind anyway. But yes, if you go to bed in a generally bad mood you have worse sleep and your dreams might not necessarily be as nice.

If you go to bed happy, do you have a better quality sleep than if you go to bed with things on your mind/feeling sad?

Yeah thats true, but it can be different for other people

i think you get more (sorry!) Stage 4 sleep when you have nothing on your mind. this 'deep sleep' allows better restoration of the body and brain and therefore arguably, a better nights sleep. *LOU*
REM sleep is not deep sleep.

The rest of the post seems right though - it's logical that you'll sleep more peacefully if you have a clear head before you go to sleep.

Sleep quality really makes a difference to how you feel the next day.

If I go to bed happy I dont get to sleep, maybe im confusing happy with hyper, very close in my mind though. I tend to feel like I have had a good sleep if I go to bed dog tired and bored. Cant remember the last time I went to bed feeling sad though.
My mood before I go to bed is sleepy... :dontknow:

Thats actually witty and I liked it. :yy:...
I don't think I've had a good sleep in a while now. Takes me more then 20 minutes to finally fall asleep even when I'm feeling sleepy and I keep waking up a few times in the night. Must be the inaction and lethargy that I've fallen into.

If you're very tired, you ought to sleep tighter. If you're happy and tired, even better.
