Is Imperial a boring university?

Magna - I don't think anyone is suggesting to go out and get an ice cream every evening then walk back to the halls and do nothing for the rest of the day. However, I am sure that ice cream indulging could quite easily form a part of a night out. Or day out.

i will join your chess soc. but forget the sudoku one. I can not believe this thread has been derailed by comments about ice cream. That was just an ill-thought example. I am ok for ice cream to be be part of a night out, just not the focus of a night out.

Ashy2005 - good suggestion, us physics bad bouyz could avoid lectures to eat ice cream, cold as ice.

That fit girls thread is very funny though but it is a bit immature. Adarah I do agree with you, that a these so called "great guys" will be able to get a be able to get along with girls. However, to find a girl that one is both, attarcted to and gets along with will be harder at a university like imperial where the ratio is 2:1.

not really - at any other uni how many people will you meet? You will meet the girls studying your subject and the girls in your halls of residence - and how many girls are in your halls of residence will vary depending on the size of the halls. So you could end up at small hall in Nottingham like my cousin where you only really meet the 6 other people you share a kitchen or bathroom with and then just the people on your course.
And as for how many girls are on your course... the male:female ratio for say engineering is no better at Imperial than at Bradford for exmple!

And then the other girls you meet through friends, in bars and clubs, at the union, in societies etc.
You will meet just as many as you might have at another uni, plus you have the chance of just going to any of the thousands of bars in London if you really think you don't know enough females at Imperial!
