Ok, you love to exercise - be specific with yourself, WHAT exercises do you emjoy? Focus on these, make them your passions (don't get obsessive tho, takes all the fun out of it, trust me!) Get as much info as you can on them, do them whenever you feel like it, I mean REALLY get into them. The exercises you enjoy are the ones you'll be able to stick to. Just make sure that at least 2 of them are hard enough that they work your body, make you get puffed out, stress your muscles, etc. These are the ones that'll improve your cardio health (help you breathe, improve your heart, etc) burn fat/ break down muscles enough so that when you rest/eat, the muscles'll come back stronger and fitter.
Get a training buddy/buddies. Exercising alone is for the determined ones who have motivation, to spur themselves on - if you need "umph" to get going, you need training buddies. Just don't let them drag you down - if they've got hangups about fat/calories, DON'T listen to 'em - these are NOT your own problems, you focus on your own body/health and no one else's, right? Everyone's body is different, and has individual needs. And if they feel ill/lazy, don't let them put you off exercising. Unless you really feel sick/tired yourself, don't put off exercise - once you get going, trust me, within 5-10 mins you feel fine, it's the initial minutes that you feel "oh god help me, I want to quit!" Ignore these feelings, even prof athletes feel them, but they push on thro. I'm not advocating training when sick tho, that's a menace to your recovery.
About food - don't get hung up on counting calories all the time. Get a rough estimation of how much you eat every day by reading labels, total them up every day - end of the week, add all together and divide by 7. That's the amount you MAINTAIN your weight on. If you want to lose weight, make a deficit (take away) 500cals per day. To gain weight, do the opposite - add 500 in. That's how much it takes to lose/gain 1lb/week, for the average person. If you start an exercise routine, chances are you'll probably need more cals to fuel it anyway, to build lean muscle. The fat will burn off, muscle will grow in its place, your cardio fitness will improve and you get a rush of feel-good endorphins. Bonus!
Good luck mate, happy training
