Bursary for first in the family to go to university

First of all, I apologise for the long title. I couldn't think of how else to sum it all up. :tongue:

I read on some of the documentatio that came through from southampton that if you're the first person in your family to attend University then you can get some find of bursary. I've scoured the SOTON website but can't find anything about it. Does anyone have any information that could help me, or a link I may have missed? Thanks :smile:

As far as im aware, if you are the first in your family t go to university and apply for a bursery, then you may be considered first, but i have never heard of any bursery for being the first.

Oooowwh I really hope it is true (as Id be eligible myself) but I dont think Southampton does offer such - well atleast Ive never heard of it & ive done some pretty thorough reading.

Visited those pages already, but thanks for the links. Hmm, I do hope that I can get a little extra cash, but it seems I've misread some of the paperwork or something. Thanks for all the help anyway guys. :smile:
