Good we must be the only 2, I'm in room R2B if that means anything to you.

Reply 3

Not much, I'm in H5B.

By the way, what does the B mean, the one after the number? I know the letter before is the block.

H5B - don't take my word for this but a former Brookes student told me that the H is the block, so block H, the number is the floor number, and the second letter is your room, so Room B. Makes sense I guess.

Hi all, just a quick explanation of the room numbers for you:
Smilee172 is mostly correct, for example 'K1H' was K block, 1st flat, room H (rooms are given letters A-G/I). The middle number isn't the floor; it's the flat. So in the case of H block (which is part of the central square) there are (I think) two flats on each floor, three floors total so H5B is on the third floor. J and K block have only 2 floors so K2 is on the 2nd floor, it varies depending on the block.

Block A and Rowan House (where the wardens live) are the only non-ensuite rooms, so you're mostly all okay!

Blocks J and K are out the back of the halls, through the trees (so kt-nguyen here's a word of advice; don't live the kitchen windows open the kids in the houses behind can get eggs/water-bombs etc through them....no really they have excellant aim). J and K are 9 person flats whereas blocks A-I have 6 person flats. The main differance is in the kitchens; 9 people flats get 2 cookers and bigger fridges, freezers and tables. Overall the kitchen is A LOT bigger. J and K also have 2 front doors... 6 people flats only have the 1 cooker, but you do get a full length mirror in the hall.

Have fun, and ask me any questions you want.

are you sure block A are non-ensuite?

Reply 16

Some of them, but not all. If you've got a non-ensuite I'm pretty sure you would have been told by now; I think it's cheaper. The one guy I knew in A did have a bathroom.
