Gym at Cripps Hall

After hearing about the fees for the main gym, I think I might just join the gym at Cripps Hall (where I'm staying). But I was wondering if anyone could tell me since I heard it was small, what's the likelyhood that I could get a good session 5 times a week out of it? And how small is it?

And could someone confirm for me that it would be £180 all together for me to be able to go to the main gym?

IT COSTS £45 FOR THE SPORTS MEMBERSHIP. THIS MUST BE PAID BEFORE YOU TAKE UP ANY GYM MEMBERSHIP.
ON TOP OF THE £45 YOU CAN CHOOSE FROM THE TWO OPTIONS
1) All-Time Gym Membership giving you unlimited access to the Main GYM for £180
2) Off Peak (Don't Remember Timings) for £125 giving you restricted access to the Main GYM.

Ah right thanks. I don't know whether it's worth it or not :/

Probably not, as you don't know your timetable, what you're gonna be doing etc. There's no point in paying stupid amounts of money if (like me) you dont know when you can and/or be bothered to go.

You could just join the sports centre and pay for every individual time for the gym i think. Obviously if you're going to go 5 times a week it's probably better for you to have a membership. xx

The only people that I know that went for full membership were those in the sports teams, if thats any help

In case you haven't already read it:

Cripps Hall JCR website
It is equipped with good quality resistant machines, cardiovascular apparatus and a full range of loose weights. Gym membership costs just £20 per year, and, unlike the university sports centre, there is no additional charge each time you use it.

Make of that what you want...

I strongly doubt that non-residents are able to join.
