What do I need to take to uni?

I really have no clue apart from bedding, cutlery and plates and glasses.
What stationery do I need? What's the best laptop? Is it worth investing in a hard drive?
Definitely bring a doorstop (or two, one for the flat door!), and lots of alcohol for freshers. An extension cord definitely came in handy for me. uhh yeah everything else is probs in that link above.

OH also a pyrex dish to make large portions of food that you later freeze in tupperware

Take a tin of biscuits to share with people - nice icebreaker
bring some cotton for stitching.
yes to laptop, stationary probably just buy a load of cheap stuff like me cos i ended up losing most of it so i didnt spend too much on it. i would say depends on your course as for the harddrive, although defo get a few memory sticks! hmmmm other than that, just whatever you think you will need, you can always travel back home and pick up any extras you feel like you have missed.
