Does anyone have any tips for acing A-levels?
Also, how did you organize folders/books/past paper etc?

For anyone taking them this year,
What are your plans for revision?
What subjects are you taking? and how are you feeling ?

Good luck all

In AS, I got a folder for each subject. For subjects like History, where there is a lot of work I got two. Then I would take the folders I need that day, you need a lot of folder dividers which I got, there really cheap. Some people had one main folder which they brought in every day then had each individual subject at home. I would get all the past papers and keep them in folders at home, but don't do them till you get close to the exams.

I did Maths, Sociology, Physics and History. I got predicted 4 D's at AS and I got ABCC.

I would recommend:
- Making good notes while in class so when you come back to them you understand them- also typing out notes of the syllabus as you go along and supplementing them with extra reading
- start revising early - once you cover a topic, learn it, and then revisit it once every week or so- that way it you'll be much more familiar with the content
- ask your teachers any questions you have and also if you don't understand why something's been marked a certain way etc.
- do past papers, but also, especially for humanities subjects, think of questions that could come up and just brainstorm answers

I organised my stuff into lever arch files, then ringbinders with my notes in :yep:

I am taking maths, biology, chemistry and physics.

My plans for revision is to answer questions in the book and read the topics over and over again and answer past papers and make notes. And I plan on revising from day one.

I have brought 8 folders. One for each subject. 4 for college work and 4 for work that I do at home

I am excited for them as I am bored of my summer now.

And I plan on revising on most of my free periods
