Whey Protein vs. Whey Protein Isolate - What's the difference?

Well I just bought some MP Max Whey Protein Powder off myprotein.co.uk, but I just saw another product called Whey Protein ISOLATE, which obviously costs a few quid more..........

hmmmm I am guessing the difference is that that the isolate is much more "PURE", but i am sure that there are many other highly knowledgable TSR users who do have the right, and more precise explanation of the difference between these two to enlighten me..........thanks!

btw I'm a girl who is doing mainly weight training to try and build my oh-so-skinny arms into something more muscley which is nice to look at!

If you haven't ordered some kind of flavouring for the whey, may I recommend Nesquik. It just makes it more......bearable. :p:

lol i got some vanilla flavoured whey........is it "bearable" or does it still need to be made "bearable" lol????

Reply 10

Dunno, I've always just used Nesquik, at least I know I like the taste of that one. You can be my flavourings guinea pig. Get back to me.

If it what you want to look like do it, but ive got to say i dont like girls with muscley shoulders which is often a side afffect and i know the almost all of my mates are of a similar opinion.

edit- sorry just saw your pic, your hot and in my opinion have nothing to worry about

muscles, especially at girls, don't just pop up out of nowhere just because of going to
the gym and slurping whey. It's extremely hard for women to build and hold muscles.

haha ok =) .. just saw your edit

I think isolates BV is slightly higher than concentrates!

but in the real world it dosent make much difference! just get bulk concentrate as it cheap!

Also apparently people whom breakout with spots using normal whey switch to Isolate whey as that doesnt have some sort of ingredient that causes it. Something along those lines anyway.

Seriously.... from your picture... What the hell do you want to be taking whey for, it's more for the serious bodybuilding... I doubt your going to be in the gym hitting squats, deadlifts and military presses...

Im not saying the to try and undermind you, your clearly a beautiful girl, taking whey isn't really needed imo.

I second this. Isolate is worth it for serious bodybuilders since the complete lack of lactose and fat has got to be a consideration when prepping for a contest, but for your average person, the price differential makes buying concentrate a better choice.
