how far apart are the sockets??? Cos I need 3 for my TV (tv, booster aerial and freeview box). Good to know they are a good size, they look it in the brochure (well, bigger than the ones in taly at least). Is there like any dining space in the kitchen??? And what about the bathroom?? Do you get your own cupboard space??? Average girl/gy ratio in each flat (so I may not be landed the only gal in a flat full of blokes)??? And the brochure says 4/5??? Soz, lotsa questions, lol. I'm moving in on sunday so hopefully my flatmates wont be cliqued up yet. But, no, unfortunately I'm not in ur house. Shame, cos u seem like a nice person. God I hope I dont get landed with a bunch of b1+<h3s!!!! lol. Do us a favour, and dash over to house K to check out my lot for me!!! 2nd floor, flat 7. (not that u will but u neva know!) :p:

DISCLAIMER: All this is relevant to my flat. I haven't really been around checking the others out but I'm presuming they're more or less the same (this is the 'shared bathroom' setup, those with ensuite are obviously different).

All 4 are around the desk by the window so it shouldn't be a problem for your TV, a couple of people in my flat have them in addition to computers and other speaker setup and I haven't heard any complaints about socket location.

There is a table which is big enough for four people and a window ledge which can be sat on by two people.

And what about the bathroom??

The bathroom is compact but doesn't feel so. There's plenty of room in the shower (and space to kneel down in front of the toilet, as I discovered this morning lol) but according to the Introduction to Residences lecture I went to today you have to shut the bathroom door when you shower or it'll set off the smoke alarms. Just so you know. :p:

Yes but it is VERY small, as is the space in the fridge and freezer. We put our cereals on top of the cupboards and keep any non-chilled food that won't fit in our rooms.

We think it's about 3:2, so far our flat has 3 guys 1 girl and 1 not arrived yet. They probably try to keep it even.

Each flat can fit five people in so I guess it depends whether every room in that flat is taken.

I might if I wasn't hiding in my bed due to mass overintoxication last night. :biggrin:

And lastly, if you really hate your room or location you could always request a transfer on or after 4th October (which I believe is when term actually starts).

Just a quick notice to everyone in sengy: if you or someone you know is the "mystery minstrel" who plays his/her trumpet at all hours of the day somewhere in the vicinity of house K, would you please keep it down a bit!!!! Invest in a uffler or something! :smile:
