Having always thought that Said Business School was just trying to capitalise on a famous location, I was today told that it was in fact part of the university, and that any Economics classes I might have next year are likely to be in there.

This information, however, came from a less than reliable source. Does anyone know it it's accurate?

tis part of the university yes though i think its more to do with management, went past it in december looks mighty nice from the outside. http://www.sbs.ox.ac.uk/html/default.asp is their website which shows their oxford. i remember reading about it somewhere (grauniad) that the dude (mr said hehe) who donated the money is not very reputable but i dunno if thats true

I heard he made some of his money selling electric shock batons to third world countries. He's definitely an arms dealer.

Yeah. When it opened some guys shinned up that really tall flagpole to unfurl a banner reading "Blood Money". And a few people sat down in the road. Briefly.

Mmmm, even nicer on the inside look at the pics on the website. But yes, built with blood money, bad bad oxford. (tbf much of the Uni was, Henry VIII dissolved 8 monastries to fund the building of Christ-Church.
