How to turn someone down?

How do I reject someone nicely when they ask to go for a drink etc.?

It's getting really tiring this happening on FB with guys all the time, but I never want to use the 'I'm seeing someone' card because it just presume that they are interested? (As a drink could be innocent..)

Also would it be weird to change FB to 'in a relationship' just to put people off? I currently don't even have it as single but it still happens.
Just seems like just replying occasionally to guys must mean I am interested, I just don't even want to reply to anyone anymore now - it makes me feel like a b*tch saying no all the time.

have you tried one word answers and being less responsive, maybe they will take the hint?

Have you considered the wild 'I'm not interested, sorry'?

Polite honesty is the best policy. Always.

Unless they are crazy or obsessive.

Most of my conversations with guys who are getting a bit creepy go like that lol. They rarely get the hint.
One guy I did have to outright reject with my friends' help even then insisted that I might stop seeing them so I may as well...

That just sounds so unexplanatory to me :O
But no it did not cross my mind... I had the 'I don't drink' or 'I can't, I'm an escort' or something...
reply firstly. Nothing worse than going silent and not answering a question.
Politely decline. say something honest but sensitive 'i am sleeping with ur bro'

You want to tell a guy you're not interested, but haven't considered just telling him that? A guy asking you out won't really care about the reason for being turned down.
