lad in my class

theres this lad in my new english language class and i quite like/fancy him. but he cant talk at all. hes totally deaf and uses sign language. he has an interpretor with him who stands in front of the class and listens to the teacher and tells him what the teacher says in sign language. im deaf as well and well i talk but dont use sign language...

well i want to get to know him, but i dont see how we can communicate..ill try my best.. can anyone think of any ideas to 'break the ice'? or simply any ideas..

welll.... you can start off by smiling and then wave
then ask the techer who uses sign language to introduce you too him! :smile:

Yeah sure. I saw him in the Library, he smiled when I was just passing by. He seems very friendly. He doesn't seem so big headed of himself like most lads in our 6th form... :p:

haven't you seen four weddings and a funeral? he probably is quite lonely so I reckon he'd really like it if you tried to learn some sign language and say hello.

exactly, and it would make his week if you said hi to him whether he has an amzing but surpressed personality anyway. You really haven't got very much lose in saying hello.
