No you're supposed to let them breath I think. The air helps to keep thm cool, whereas plasters and socks heat them up.

But it's so painful to walk around school! And anywhere for that matter!

Get some blister plasters, they are like a second skin so your shoes wont just wear through the plaster like normal. they are SO good.

You can get blister plasters like this from any decent outdoor shop:

http://www.fieldandtrek.com/product-Compeed-Compeed-Blister-Plasters-25542.htm

They are made for walkers to slap on when their boots start rubbing and continue walking for days.

Brilliant yes, the only problem is they have a life of their own and come off when they feel like it, not when you want them to.

If you try and take them off before they drop off you will rip your skin off!

Yes, but if it's rubbing against her shoe, it'll just make it even worse and could burst it.

If you want to burst it do it carefully with a sterile needle and let it drain, then pad it lots and cover it. Otherwise use blister plasters over it (although some of these I haven't found very effective). Go around without shoes wherever you can to avoid irritating it more.

Thing is because I've been walking around on it so much it's not even really a blister anymore, the skin is all rubbing off which is why I think I should just put loads of layers over it when at school, then let it heal at home - otherwise it'll just become a painful bloody mess! Sorry this sounds so disgusting!

Sounds like the best plan. Make sure you have some melolin (or similar) dressings on it though, rather than cotton wool, so that it doesn't get fibres stuck in it.
