i did! got a train up to london all on my own (1st time in london too :O ) then my forst ever interview - it was a stressfull time how did you find the interview?
i was workig in london at the time, so the journey wasn't far though. before going to uni travel across the country on your own is exciting - i went to durham to stay over for the night once. after the interview i was sure they wouldn't give me the scholarship. i got the impression that they didn't think i was mechanical enough because my course is general engineering but they gave me the scholarship
awsome! well done i thought i'd never get it, i was RLY unprepared and was asked all these questions about what the IMechE does for engineers (i waffled my way through it) and spent as much time talking about sailing and dancing as i could (coz thats the only thing i knew). but i got it well chuffed - thats slightly less debt to worry about lol so what uni are you off to? and are you looking forward to the presentation thingy?
wow, thats so cool, well done to, nice to be given so much money. im going to cambridge. what uni are you going to? the presentation thing sounds good, lots of nice food etc. i got the impression when i was there that the institution is very rich. i didn't get tea biscuits and sandwiches at my uni interviews. i didnt actually have any of the food though, didnt want to talk with my mouth full.
cool im off to southampton next week! cant wait haha i know what u mean about the food, thats one thing im looking forward to - itll b worth another train journey im not too happy about having to write about each year though - ill have to try and avoid mentioning all the nights out and stuff!! gwen xxxx
