Deferral Rejected, Reinstate Application?

I submitted my application in June and found out a week ago that I was granted an unconditional offer. My request for a deferral due to the short timeframe was denied. I'm a bit worried now about quiting my job, moving out of New York City, and finding housing in London all in two weeks. Does anyone know what the liklihood is of being accepted if I reinstate my application for 2007? Has anyone reinstated and been accepted again? Any advice would be great. Thanks!

If you applied in June (which classifies you as a late applicant) and still managed to receive an offer, you must be darn outstanding. I see no reason for them to hold it against you if you reapply next year, and chances are high that you will receive an offer especially when you apply during the normal applications window.
First of all could you clarify whether you are an undergrad or postgrad applicant? It's not immediately obvious from your post.

In either case, having to quit your job, move to the UK and find accommodation is a fairly daunting task at the best of times, and given that you have only two weeks especially so. If you think you can do it in order to meet your offer, more power to you! Otherwise,, I'd write LSE an email/letter explaining the circumstances which have prevented you from taking up your place. It might come in handy when applying again next year as they are not obligated to take you even though you were given an offer this year.

I too applied quite late (April), got an offer, but thought it was too late to submit an application for LSE accommodation; none the less, I applied a few weeks ago and got an offer this monday for a single room at High Holborn!

My advice is that you ring up LSE accommodation, explain your circumstances, and see what they say. I understand that they have places in rooms 'in reserve' for late applicants. Also explain your circumstances on the accommodation application form in LSE for you - just so they don't forget.

BTW, what course was it that you applied for? I assume your PG?
