:p: I have a pretty strange phobia which I've had for almost as long as I can remember, it's of carpets (yes, carpets.) I absolutely can't stand the sound they make when someone scrapes them or the feel of them. It's got so bad that I have to wear shoes when I'm walking on them and if someone touches one with their hand, my hand tingles for ages afterwards. Have never fainted because of one though... yet

I'm not sure that's a phobia because phobias r fears but i have something similar to ure thing. I can't stand high pitched sounds coming from metal scraping against metal, or nails on a wall or any surface pretty much. Everytime i accidently scrape my fingers against a wall i try to rub the spot i scraped my fingers on, like i smoothening it out or soothing it, quite weird. Also anytime my mom is scraping the last remenants of food out a of pot with a spatula i leave the room because i hate that sound

i used to have one of snakes. im still very scared of them now but it doesnt mess my life up anymore.

i used to not even be able to look at the word "snake". so obvisouly typing anything like this woudlnt have been possible  and i would reguarly wake up shaking cos of nightmares. i also found it very hard on rainy days when there were lots of worms about cos it had the same effect on me.

anyway im a lot better than i used to be so i dont really need that bbc thing anymore.
-_- flying, the thoughts that go through my mind whilst flying are too strange.
Swimming pool drains.... arrggghhh and i was a club swimmer for 10 yrs i had to swim over them very fast

Mine is centipedes, but to be fair, it isn't actually destroying my life.
Fire!! Really scared of it, biggest fear house burning down!! I can hold a candle... won't go near it once it's lit though. I can't actually physicially hold a lighter or a match, just can't get myself to do it!

spiders,/creep crawlies and eating in restaurants/public places
Spiders - Not sure why but always have been
Narrow tunnels - Scared of getting stuck I suppose
People with perfect white teeth - Getting bitten

Used to have loads more like fire, thunderstorms, beetles... but have gotten over those ones.

Carpets eh? Well I thought I was weird...

I have a slight telphobia. I am afraid of telephones and how it rings. Really... no joke. I don't answer my phone most of the time and I usually just call the person back after it stops ringing. It's not that if I see a phone I'd get scared. It has to ring for me to be scared... I'm also embarassed to talk on the telphone.

I'm trying to get over it.
