I'm looking on doing a placement year at uni but I'm not sure yet
Should I apply for a degree with placement then opt out if I don't want to take it? Or 3 year degree(no placement) and take a placement if I want it? Or do uni's not allow that?
Also, do you pay for a placement year? Or is it reduced fees?

At all of the open days I went to the unis were pretty happy to let you switch on or off the placement year up until about October/November of your 2nd year.
Placement years do have reduced fees ranging from around £800-1400 in tuition fees for the year depending on the uni
