Naturally pretty girls

I have a problem, I really am so used to wearing make-up (on my eyes, blusher and lip gloss) I feel great when I have that on, but I feel without that I'm not preety:frown: That's why I soo envy naturally pretty girls!:frown:
I just wish I was 'naturally' pretty without the need of make-up!! It's so annoying, as I'm so used to it, I don't think I can go out without it, (I can go to the shops or whatever, but not if I'm going out like shopping or uni).
I would LOVE to, but I think people will think I'm ugly or less attractive, cos I get compliments when I have got my make-up on.
Sorry if I'm confusing people, but does it really bother guys whether a girl has make-up on or not? Do they even notice much? As my make-up isn't full-on, it's just light, but still it makes that bit of difference! and gives me more confidence.
I don't know what I want people to say, any comments are welcome.

i can never go out without at least some make up, foundation/concelar else i feel ugly.

but i had the courage (or coundnt be bothered putting on make up) once, no seemed to particularly care or act any different, but when i look in the mirror without make up im damn ugly with make up anyway worse without.

but people/friends dont seem to care.

Also when I mean by eyes, I also wear coloured contact lenses as my eyes are brown naturally, but lenses make them stand out more (not on a daily basis, but like when I go out clubbing, or to meet a friend sometimes). I want to stop wearing them too, but I just feel so unattractive without them!
I notice if girls have make-up on or not. I love naturally pretty girls; the best looking girl I've ever seen in real life used to rarely wear make-up at College, but was still by far the best looking. But I'd give credit to a girl who is attractive without make-up. I'd give a better answer if I saw a pic, :dontknow:. Anyways, don't worry about it too much. If you've been used to make-up for such a long time, then why is this all of a sudden an issue you need to address?

Edit: You should feel privileged - this is one of the most serious replys I've ever given in H&R

i wear make up most days just habit now rele. only foundation, n mascara but still sumthin
i dont like not wearing make-up either, but dont worry about it-ive heard guys actually prefer the natural look and im sure you look great without make-up on really, it'll just be like a comfort thing. If your wanting to start being able to go out without make-up on then id suggest maybe starting to rejuce the amount of make-up you wear when just going to the shops or whatever slightly and eventually going with none at all....sorry if that didnt make sence-im pretty useless with explaining things sometimes

It's just an issue, as I'm starting uni this month, and I'm wondering how people will react. When I'm wearing make-up I get a lot more compliments then without, thats why I have been wearing it so regularly. But now uni is gna start, I am thinking of not wearing lenses much or makeup (just wear mascara or something but that's it), so they will be used to it, so when I do wear makeup it will be different.

funnily enough make up doesnt add much 'prettyness' to a person, i think its very psychological.
it'll sound daunting to you now but try a few days without make up, just at home when you're chilling.. or when you go out shopping, and just look at how indifferent it is, it'll make you realise you probably are naturally alright looking without make up.

i hardly wear make up, the usual eyeliner and mascara if anything, otherwise i'm too unarsed.. but put it this way, its good for my skin (no makeup) and people do compliment it, i won't deny it.

theres more to a person than their looks.. yeah people always look at what you come across as first, but real people are discovered.
is it true that wearing foundation too much can cause u to have some facial hair?

Nobody will notice the difference when you wear lenses I'm sure - I've got naturally green/blue eyes and would love brown eyes - dark eyes always look so sexy! As for make up, if you feel less confident without it then why not just put a coat of mascara on to give you a little confidence boost - it's not like you're totally naked but you dont have it all piled on.

Just wear it sparsely, and keep it that way. :yy:]

No worries m'dear..
it all depends how much you want to be noticed; if you're used to turning heads with make-up on then inevitably you're going to notice a change. If thats not so much a problem for you, i doubt anyone's going to loook 'negatively' on you for not wearing make-up

i cant go without my eye pencil. just cos i think dark eyes suit me. i occasionally use a bit of concealer and lipgloss/lipstick but i dont need it. i never wear foundation or anything like that cos i want nice healthy skin when im older.

you should try bit by bit to get used to not wearing makeup. just gradually reduce the amount you wear or something. its important to be happy with your appearance as it is. but theres nothing wrong with wearing it to improve your appearance when you're going out with friends or on a date or anything.

hey, yeh I don't wear makeup when I am around the house, that I'm fine with, but it's just going out out! lol I mean even when I was at college I just used to wear undereyeliner and blusher. I don't wear foundation though, its just the whole eye thing mainly lol. I think my first challenge should be going out without the lenses! then take it from there.

I would love to have hazel/green eyes! that why I wear the hazel lenses! (I'm asian btw, so that's why hazel would stand out as MOST asians have dark brown eyes. But I hope it doesn't make much difference.
I think you need to become more comfortable with your 'natural self' coz you cant hide under makeup all the time. What about when your dating someone? or married even? is your partner never gonna see you without your slap on?

Maybe if you gradually reduce the amount of makeup you wear? Im sure heads will still turn. More importantly I think the natural look will attract a better kind of guy, who aint so woundup in the superficial, but loves you for being you.

I never bother with make-up, unless it's a really special occasion, in which case I tend to stick to neutral shades.

Nobody cares if I wear make-up or not, and I've found that I get just as much attention without make-up as I do without it - and I'm not exactly the best looking girl!

Like some of the other posters have said, I would recommend that you slowly reduce the amount of make-up that you wear, and this should help you to build up your confidence steadily. No point in rushing it!
