I am now close to writing up my coursework project for my AQA A2 English Language Investigation, and am finding it hard to find relevant theorists for my project.

The question for my project is 'What gender differences are there in chocolate TV adverts in the 21st century?', and I'm trying to find gender theorists to refer back to, and assist my study, yet I'm not sure which are the most relevant or most supported to use.

Just wondering if anyone has done a similar investigation and can help, would really appreciate any replies, thankyou!!

Didnt your college give a list of theorists and their theories?
Your focus is on the differences between genders, so focus on the theories which relate to that e.g. Coates, Holmes etc.

Well we learnt about many theorists last year, but they weren't all relevant to advertising and the time period i'm researching so I wasn't sure if they were still relevant?
I have looked at some research from Holmes, but forgot about Coates, thankyou
