I dont see why its bad having it twice. If one will protect you from the full disease then it should protect you from another jab which is basically modified/dead/weaker form of it (if you get what I mean).

When I had that jab my arm killed for months afterwards but when that happens its usually because of the jab itself rather than whats in it. Maybe the nurse was clumsy or something.

I think in this situation generally it's better to have it again than not at all. I looked on the internet, and while I couldn't find anything specifically pertaining to the Meningitis jab; there was this extract on the Hepatitis one:

"What do I do if a worker wants the hepatitis B series but can’t remember if they have already had the vaccine, or they can’t remember how many doses they got?

The safest option when there is no documentation is to vaccinate."

I'm sure it'll be fine- swelling is fairly normal with the Meningitis jab- http://www.immunisation.nhs.uk/article.php?id=260
It probably is totally fine. That would be my gut reaction and what you'd generally expect I guess. Just thought I'd ask
my sister went to get her jabs for uni and we have had two Meningitis jabs and there was no record as we had them through school so she has to sort it out through the local health people who work with the school but the lady said there would be no harm in having it again.
