Chronic Myeloid Leukemia

My mum has just been diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia. I was wondering if any of you guys have a relative with it so that I could hear about how they are coping with it.
Luckily, there are some new drugs out which stop the cancer cells being produced for at least 10 years, although of course, those drugs have to work first! But hopefully Mum should be able to live as normal.
I was just hoping that a couple of people would know somebody with this type of leukemia, and be able to share some information with me.
Thanks

There is a possibility it could be cured with a bone marrow transplant.
