Preparation for (AQA) Psya3 and Psya4

This is for people who have completed A level Psychology and preferably AQA Psychology.

Any preparation advice/tips for the year. I didn't get my target grade so i'm retaking Psya2 aswell. Any topics which requires extra revision/any differences from AS/anything that I should be doing already while studying this course?

I'm doing AQA Psychology and I have to retake PSYA1.

For PSYA3, do you know which 3 topics you're doing for A2?
For psya3 my advice is to do Relationships, Aggression and the third topic is up to you - those two topics are by far the easiest really as they build on much of the knowledge you learn at AS level.

Also if you need help to structure essays or want guaranteed A* essays for both Psya3 and Psya4 google Loopa Psychology.

I'm doing Biological Rhyhms, Aggression and Cognition and Development. I wasn't given a choice because it is what my teachers specialise in the most, but what they recommend is the best option I guess.

Loopa has really useful resources, so I can definitely recommend it also.

I've already sat the exams (scored A* 373/400 and 100ums in both Psya3 and Psya4). I just post here to help students now and then!

You're not able to choose what you study for Psya2 but for Psya3 and Psya4 you have a choice of topics.

For Psya3 your required to learn 3 topics out of 8. I studied Aggression, Sleep/Bio Rhythms and Relationships.

For Psya4 I recommend choosing Schizophrenia and Media Psychology as they are by far the easiest to grasp ( I think so personally )

For, PSYA3 in class so far we've done bio rythms and social cognition. Just about to start relationships. My essay skills need improvement, i'm only at a c grade and I'm finding it hard to elaborate AO2 points and explaining IDA's
KRS122, maybe you should appreciate that you're not the only person in the country sitting the exam, and we can all benefit from help and advice that is offered from others. It's a free discussion board for everyone, it's not all about you.

Mr Loopa "Mephestic" I've found it a bit hard to use your website as a lot of the links just direct you towards buying the books. I understand you want to make money but are there any pages on your website which can give me a feel for what your textbook is like, eg just one A* essay?
I'm like you, studying on my own in just a few months but one thing I'm struggling to grasp is the difference between AO2 and AO3... for units 1&2 AO3 was about research methods, but in unit 3 and the two topics of unit 4 it's about IDA and then in the last section of unit 4 it's about research methods again... am I right about this, as it seems quite confusing to me.

I'm under the assumption that AO2/IDA is evaluation and AO3 is methodological critiques. That's what I've been told by my teacher, hope that helps clarify things ((:
