UCL gym membership

Trying to decide what to do.

Think I'm going to get a membership at the ULU gym as it looks bigger and better and has a pool.

Can't really afford the years membership so I'm planning to get the 6 month membership which will take me to the end of the second term for £125. I don't know if I will have time for the gym in the 3rd term anyway with exams etc. and its only 7 weeks long so I could always buy an extra month or so if I need it then.

For the same membership at the UCL gym its only £95 but I think I'm willing to pay a bit more the better facilities.

Whats everyone else planning to do? Any current students with first hand experience of the gyms?

Also its says on the UCL gym site - "Any person wishing to participate in club sessions at Bloomsbury Fitness needs to become a member of Bloomsbury Fitness." (http://www.uclunion.org/general/downloads/bf-price-list.pdf)

Does that mean if a club/society you join at UCL uses the Bloomsbury facilities you will have to join the gym, or is it specifically talking about clubs run by the bloomsbury gym?

Here's all the links to the various sites for those interested:

At the moment I'm still getting confused between UCLU and ULU, so its a choice between Bloomsbury Fitness for the former and Energy Base for the latter? I guess its a question of how you much you can afford, as Bloomsbury is £130 but Energy Base is £250 for the year. I think Bloomsbury is the way to go for me for the price but also because of the fact, I think, its a closer to where I live.

As I said I'm only getting the 6 month membership so its only £30 more for me. Don't really want to be paying for membership during holidays when I'm at home (e.g. 3 months in the summer)

Also if you're close to one then you are close to the other.
