Hello everybody! I haven't done as well as I would as liked in my AS psychology in both units I scored 72 (a low B) and i was wondering if it is worth getting a remark done on unit 2 as I am planning to repeat unit 1 in June! Or do you think it is a waste of valuable time and that I should just concentrate on my A2s?

My overall grade is a B, but it's low (144), that's why I'm worried! But it will be a nightmare, the learning all of the case studies, and the essay writing will be brutal!!!

No point remarking it'll just go up by a mark or two if anything. The danger with your low B is that it'll go down to a high C. Although the grade doesn't matter because you can make up for 2/3 marks in A2, it's a bit meeehh seeing that C grade instead of the B

Carry on with A2 and make up for it, best option

Okay thanks) Should I still repeat one exam maybe? Just in case, probably unit 1 because there is a lot less content, and I won't let it interfere with my A2s! Because it is a low B I will have to work extra hard to make up for it in A2s anyway, to push it up to an A!

Retake one at most but definitely dont go for both.

A2 could be considered somewhat easier since theres less short awnser questions which people tend to trip up on a lot and more essays - something which is much much easier to prep for.

However just be aware that loads of applicants end up not getting their desired grades since examiners are really picky in what they write and how they write it - hence why grade boundaries are quite low. You got to write in a certain way to access the higher marks!

my friend redid her whole A level psychology this year - it's hard , but if you start in february/january , it's doable

i'd advise you to do that
