Is anybody familiar with the drug Prozac? Has anybody had any experiences with the drug?

I was on fluoxetine for a bit, back in the day, which is basically Prozac.

It really effects people in different ways, i do know some people had some horrendous side effects.

I was put on prozac may time and although it took quite a while to work (several weeks), it has been pretty good for me. I did not have any side effects. It has allowed me to start enjoying a few more things and to try and move on with life. It is also very good at regulating my sleep pattern that was very broken up.

Made me lose all feeling. Felt rather emotionless. Didn't like it so much.

I used to take Fluoxetine. I actually took it twice, first from when I was about 13-14/15 and then when I was 16-17 (ish, these might be wrong). I wasn't on a very high dosage though.

I didn't really suffer any side effects, although the first period of time I took it I was often quite hyper and loud (to the extent that sometimes my friends would be a bit embarrassed and go 'shhh!' :p:

). However I think that this may have been due to a mixture of the Fluoxetine and adolescence.

It did help me (agoraphobia/panic attacks) but I still had to work hard psychologically. It was sort of like a helping hand but not the complete cure. And I took a long time coming off it, slowly reducing the dosage, so as not to miss it too much.
