I hear you're a liable for a fine even if you only watch online streams via your computer (no Tv-Tuner card). Puzzling, as there's no broadcast signals involved there so I was wondering if this is true.....

And hopefully if there is anything I want to watch (New Series Of CSI) some very nice person will take pity on me and let me into their room to watch it.

I'll bring popcorn and alcohol.

Alcohol and popcorn? Deal! I have Sky too. Does that warrant some pick n mix too?

If you take one don't forget your indoor aerials. I don't think any of the halls have a proper TV aerial even though my room had an aerial point.

TV reception is not fantastic but it is watchable.

You should get on analouge:
BBC 1 Wales
BBC 2 Wales
ITV1 Wales
S4C

If you want Channel 4 or five then you need a Freeview box I had one and got most of the channels (but not all of them). I guess it depends where you are on the campus and what floor you are on.

You can get a refund for the unused quarter but TV Licensing don't like you to have it I think you need to buy the licence so it starts in August rather than September.

They refused mine by a few days both years I was at Chester.
I got through first year without one :proud:

Now I hardly watch it at all!

I used mine every day. I'd have been lost without it.
