International tourism managment and how important is university ranking?
Hi,
Im planning on applying for International tourism management however i have a problem with choosing a uni. I checked many ranking sites for unis as well as ranking specific to tourism and i noticed that there are very few universities in first 30 (the times ranking) who teach tourism, whereas there is a lot of average and ''bad'' unis which teach that course.
My question is,
with regard to my course, and tourism in general, how relevant are the rankings for the unis with place 40 and below?
and,
does it really matter that much if i get to uni at 45th place instead of the 20th?
How reliable are these guides?
