How hard is it to work weekends while doing 4 or 5 as levels?

It's fine. I managed to work 16 hours each weekend and ended up with three As at AS level. You'll have plenty of time during the week to do any schoolwork.

Unless you are absolutely certain you can manage your time efficiently, DO NOT get a part time job during your A-levels, particularly if you're thinking of or already taking five AS. Seriously, YOU WILL NOT HAVE ENOUGH TIME. Weekends are for relaxing (so that you won't end up so tired that you can't concentrate during lessons over the week) and mainly home work and more importantly, REVISION! If you have a part time job over the weekend while doing A-levels, you might end up compromising your grades - better to wait till you're in uni before thinking of getting a part time job!
