Topic 1.3 says
"Explain why there are different sources of information about the development of the atmosphere which makes it difficult to be precise about the evolution of the atmosphere"

Can someone please help me with this, I can't seem to find any information about how to answer this. It's about the evolution of the atmosphere.

Thank you.

We're unsure about the conditions in the early development of the Earth and the processes involved that led to it being in it's current state because there were no observers

The question specifically asks about the sources of information. It seems to me that you have to look for evidence in rocks of specific ages, which had some kind of equilibrium with the atmosphere when they were formed.

Maybe to do with the isotopic ratios of specific elements etc.
