if i am to choose 3 subjects for my Alevel which third subject will be useful to me apart from maths and physics as a mechanical engineer

Further Maths or Chemistry would be your best bets. Is this at A2 or AS level? You should also check the universities' websites; some will stipulate Further Maths as a compulsory fourth subject (at AS) or third subject (at A2) (I.E at Imperial). Others however, will be fine with you taking an additional science subject. I would personally advise taking FM as this will place you on par with other applicants applying for Engineering. Goodluck!

"We require A*AAA or A*A*A in Mathematics, Physics and further relevant A-levels, one of which must be from Further Mathematics, Chemistry, Design and Technology, Biology, Electronics, Computing or Economics".
