Housemate!

HEY!

I' posting this under 'health and relationships' as it concerns the relationship between me and a friend, more specifically me and one of my housemates.

I'm not the most sociable guy in the world, but i think i know that i'm polite and fun and try to get along with everyone i know.

The problem is i just can't talk to this guy. Every time he comes into the house i just get a series of grunts back, hardly ever any actual conversation or anything like that! Last night, i asked if he wanted to go to the pub, to which he said yes, and he just left. He said he was off to see a mate, and didn't say 'i can't go tonight to the pub, i'm sorry', or anything similar, to which i was quite annoyed.

I feel really upset at this as i don't have millions of good friends, and don't know if i should keep making effort to be sociable or just not bother at all?

Has anyone had any experience in this kind of thing?!

Make a bit more of an effort, and if it doesn't work just give up.

Unfortunately some people are just like that im afraid, i've come across a few people like that and theres just nothing you can do! Try for a bit longer and then if it is still having no effect just leave it and let them come to you.
