Apologies if my info was wrong, it used to be Cs, but you would still need science. For A levels I would suggest a broad range within your interests as you would need to be able to teach all subjects and definitely the subject that is going to be your specialism. Glad to hear you think that. The fact I got 9 A*s and 4 As at GCSE and a 1st class degree obviously didn't cross the interviewers mind. The fact my father passed away during my second year at sixth form obviously wasn't a factor either. Neither was my (extensive) work experience. My point being - grades aren't always as clear cut as they seem. I also did my A Levels 10 years ago and a D wasn't actually that bad. Still think it's shocking? Training providers take you in to account as a WHOLE person. Not just a grade on a piece of paper.
