Rant.

Quick details. I am 19, she is 18. We've been going out 1 year und 2 months.

My girlfriend seems to be constantly letting me down lately, and I seriously can't take anymore of it, especially after today.

Yesterday she tried tricking me into eating food I hate (she tried making me believe the mushrooms in the sauce were pieces of tomato... I hate mushrooms). Now yeah whatever nothing major but, I asked her why she thought i'd fall for that and her reply was simply "because you're an idiot". How ****ing loving can she be? The whole idiot thing annoyed me quite a bit though tbh... Later in the night I walked her to her friends house in an area I didnt know. I asked for directios to get to where I had to go and she gave me wrong ones - So I ended up missing a film at the cinema I was meant to see with a friend. She said she felt really bad about the day and said sorry blah blah and that she would make it up to me today by coming over in the evening (5ish) and staying round!

and here we are today.

I'm meant to be entering a pretty major film competition (deadline's tomorrow). Last week I filmed with her and a friend (very short 15 second film - so hardly any effort). Few days ago I realised it wasnt what i wanted so had to reshoot. I told her about it and she said she'd do it. We ended up not doing it yesterday and I was really relying on her to help me today. So at 2pm I get a text saying she'll be round at 7. 2 hours later than she said yesterday even though she knew I was desperate to film :/ So sun was going down and I called her to see where she was... at home. I told her how much I was relying on her and all i got in return was "well you shouldnt be ****ing relying on me, I've already filmed it with you once". This is coming from someone that last night was really sorry and said theyd make it up to me blah blah blah. Now it's half 7 and shes still not here. Dont quite see the point in her coming over anymore considering she'll be leaving first thing when she wakes up anyway... But ****ing hell after over a year, she still thinks its ok to treat me like crap. I'm just so annoyed over the filming thing because she knew how important it was to me and didnt even give a crap. Arghhh!

So yeah, last time i'm relying on her. I sense a break-up tonight tbh, am i right?

to be fair u have to be pretty stupid to be tricked into eating a meat feast because it smells of meat there are huge visable chunks of meat on it and its just meatyliscious....mmmmmm....meat

It's illegal to film someone without their permission, as far as I know. She could probably sue you if you recorded her deliberately and she didn't know - and now considering how sensitive she is and she would've just been dumped by you, I wouldn't risk it :wink:

I'd never trick someone into eating something I know they hate. I insist that they should give it a try first but if they refuse, then they're missing out but I'm not gonna force it on them lol. Especially when it comes to vegetarian stuff. That reminds me - we found a huge piece of chicken in a microwavable pie that was stated as "vegetarian" :biggrin:

lol my friend - the veggie - was a little shocked lol. Good for me though cus I wanted the chicken :p:

Anyway, as to the OP, if your gf's been like this for over a whole year - then yeh I'd say dump her. Although be gentle with her and perhaps tell her your reasons nicely - you don't wanna be a hypocrite.

Then what about cctv? and dont tell me that that is because is the police, shops use cctv, some of which show the picture in real time on a screen. You can even have CCTV outside your house.

Sounds to me like she's sending you very obvious hints she wants to break up with you but is too scared to do it herself so she's driving you to it. I guess if she thinks you fall out it's easier to break up. She sounds selfish and immature and you're letting her childish antics get in the way of your ambitions (the film stuff) you seriously need to get rid of her unless she can grow up and be a girlfriend. Its only illegal under the data protection act to not give her a copy if she wants it.

Hence us being filmed by CCTV in shops and streets everywhere.
