Any point putting examination board in CV?

Ok so basically for my GCSE and A Level years I've been in an international school which does the CIE examinations, which I've heard are a real bitch to do, hence why everyone else in english schools seems to get all A*'s and A's when I'm getting A's and B's even though we're pretty much doing stuff at the same level.

Anyhows, I've heard that an A or B in a CIE exam (A Level, AS Level or IGCSE) is treated as somewhat more than the usual english non-international A or B. Is this right?

Secondly, would it make any difference whether I put "CIE A Level in History - A" or just "A Level in History - A" in my CV/results when they ask me/whatever?

(also English literature on CIE is a pain in the ass -_-;; they're so old and stuffy and boring)

Also I have this weird thing called an ADIP (some AICE Diploma but in A Level Version. Apparently me taking Business, Spanish, English Lit and History A Levels with Thinking Skills AS Level. Worth mentioning or not?)
It doesn't seem that harmless to just include the examination board within your CV. However, if all of your subjects throughout A Level, AS LEvel and iGCSE have been taken with the CIE examination board then it may look slightly unneccessary just repeating (CIE) all the time. Perhaps it would be best to mention it as a footnote, or within a little introductary paragraph.

:ditto: Even if it's true that CIE is harder, I doubt employers know (or care) that much about different exam boards.

Booo to you for not letting me being finicky about nugatory details. D:

I'm just kinda semi paranoid they'll go "AHH! look at this potential employee! All A's in his national exams!.....oh look at this weirdo who did his A Levels internationally. Only like one or two A's. DO NOT WANT"

>_> But I'm probably wrong there too aren't I.

I don't think there's any harm in putting down the exam board  I probably will.

It depends what job you're looking to go into, but I doubt most employers would turn you away for 'only' having 1/2 As :p:
