I drunk when I had my brace, nothing like that happened. They did tell me not to, but I was under 18 at the time. I don't know what type of glue they use but it may dissolve in alcohol.

What type of drinks are they. Some have very high sugar which could be what you are feeling.
I dont drink very often, last time was on holiday at the start of july, on sevral occasions. Right now my braces are not cutting me, but if i think back a bit, i do think that they where cutting me then!

Maybe alchole makes your mouth swell up a little bit and then your cheeks get caught on the braces.

Alcohol causes you to becom more dehydrated which means there's less saliva in your mouth protecting your cheeks from your brackets meaning they rub more thus causing ulcers.

Try a warm salt water rinse when you get home from the pub before you go to bed.

Sorry, that's not very helpful, is it?
