Nah I'm in Stock's Court too... that picture was taken from the back.

Obviously it's not the Student Village, but please don't worry about being stabbed to death! There are 2 stewards and a warden living on-site, and QM security visit 4-5 times in the night.

If you do feel vulnerable just let someone know! Best of luck.

Lol I looked at it back and front... neither look like it in my view :p:

And the worry about being stabbed was just general east london and seeing a bunch of "youths" hanging about just outside the huge council estate next door. O and the broken window on one of the houses nearby.

I'm starting to sound like an old woman

WTF are you serious about the council flats next to Stocks Court. **** .I didnt come to London to live next to the scums of the earth, getting stabbed might well be a reality. Holy ****

Ok Maybe it was a slight exageration. But my last uni was in canterbury where crime just doesn't seem to happen. The worse thing you ever get there is a coach load of foreign school children clogging up the coffee shops and old people taking photo's of woolworths...

Please don't worry about this!

We have a Police station on campus, if there is any trouble they will be here in just a few minutes. Honestly there are a few kids around but they just play on their bikes and are no trouble. Nobody else comes down our road and it's quite secluded.

Hi munkie, you seem to know alot about the area, what are the rooms like in stocks court? are they new like the ones in the student village or are they old and tacky with needles and used condoms in the corner? and how far is the walk to the main reception (by the economics department)? also is there parking near stocks court as my mate is staying over the 1st nite of fresh

thanks mate

Hey!

It's about 15 minutes between Stocks Court and Westfield Student Village on foot, but I have done it quicker... lol! At Stocks there isn't really any parking - for the weekend you must find parking elsewhere because you will be in the way of the other students!

I have been round to check every single room in Stocks - they are not brand new but they are in very good condition and have all just been cleaned. I have not seen a single condom or needle so far? The kitchens are halfway through a refurbishment and new tables, chairs and freezers are due to be delivered VERY soon.

We probably been told but in the midst of packing I have paper work everywhere... JUst checking, the earliest we can get our keys tomorrow is 9am right? An I'm guessing its from somewhere near Stocks court...

O and a harder question, where's the nearest shop where you can buy blue curaco
